Scott Prescher is the owner and operator of Prescher Law Firm, PLLC. Scott is a graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law with a Juris Doctor and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 2020. Prior to law school Scott received his undergraduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at UT Dallas and a Master of Theological Studies at Texas Christian University. At Prescher Law Firm our main focus is in family law (divorce, custody, child support, CPS, adoptions) and probate (wills, trusts, guardianships). Scott is a certified mediator and can be utilized as a mediator to help settle your legal disputes. Scott also serves as an Amicus Attorney in divorce/custody cases. Scott believes in giving back to his local community and has been a volunteer pro-bono attorney with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas since 2021 and he is part of the Pro Bono Texas Campaign of the State Bar of Texas. Due to his commitment to continuing legal education, Scott was admitted to the Texas Bar College in 2021. Scott also serves as an ad litem attorney for parents and children in CPS cases in the DFW area. Since 2020 Scott has been a member of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar, Tarrant County Bar, and the Tarrant Young Lawyers Associations; and a member of the State Bar of Texas Family Law section, LGBT section, and the Real Estate/Probate/Trust Law section of the State Bar of Texas. In 2021 and 2022 Scott was voted by his peers as a “Top Attorney” in Fort Worth Magazine. Scott enjoys running and often participates in local 5k races to raise money for non-profit organizations. In 2022 Scott was honored to be a speaker at the Tarrant County Child Welfare Seminar. In 2022 Scott was also invited to become a member of the prestigious Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court. Scott has been a volunteer attorney for Legal Aid of Northwest Texas since 2021 and has helped low income clients navigate their legal matters at no cost via Legal Aid.
Scott is committed to continuing legal education and has been a speaker at legal seminars, most recently as a speaker at the 2022 Tarrant County Child Welfare Seminar.
Scott often runs local 5k races to raise money for things like the Haltom High band program, Alzheimer's Association, and other local groups and causes.
Scott is an Ad Litem Attorney for Child Protection Courts in the DFW area and is appointed by the courts to represent both children and parents in situations that have unfortunately required the removal of a child from the home. (pictured - Scott completing application to be ad litem attorney)
